This short documentary illustrates the European Union development cooperation activities in the field of Human Rights and Democracy in Nepal thanks to the projects implemented under the European Instrument for Human Rights and Democracy (EIDHR) through the European Union in Nepal, from 2001 to 2013. Sixteen projects were evaluated for their impact and a documentary was produced reflecting those impacts. This is the fifteen minutes synopsis of the documentary. The impact assessment study carried out from the perspective of relevancy, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability. Focused group discussions, semi-structured questionnaires for key informant interviews and cursor survey were used during the impact assessment. The EU is committed to upholding Human Rights. Two years ago we adopted the Strategic Framework on Human Rights and Democracy, together with its Action Plan, and we appointed an EU Special Representative for Human Rights. Since then, with the support of EU Member States, we have been advocating human rights in over 40 human rights dialogues with third countries and we have been engaging with regional and multilateral organisations, including the UN.
