Street Children in Nepal




Nepal Mother Foundation (NMF) runs Day Care Center which provides non-formal education, food, clothes, recreational activities, health service and favourable growing environment along with the skills to empower the capacity of children in various field for more than 20 street children of Pasupati, Gausal a and Tilaganga area of Kathmandu. Along with that interested children are admitted to the regular school. Nepal Mother Foundation (NMF) Day Care Centre provides effective care for each child in proper and safe growing environment.

It ensures healthy and loving environment with a nursery school format for young children to explore, learn and discover and to offer a welcoming place for older elementary school-aged children to play, rest and study before they join to school formal structured education. Children's self esteem and self concept are at the forefront of daily learning opportunities .Each child will undergo positive experiences and activities with an education, age appropriate development, gross motor skills, cognitive learning, social skills, dramatic play, music, language, science and mathematical concepts, health, hygiene, nutrition and self-help practices.
