Fears over Nepal's planned citizenship law


In Nepal, a citizenship certificate is required for everything, from getting a driving licence to getting a passport. There are more than four million people in Nepal who do not have citizenship papers. So far, at least constitutionally if not in practice, a mother or father can give citizenship to their children.

But the new constitution being drafted says that both parents have to be Nepalese citizens. Al Jazeera's Subina Shrestha reports from Kathmandu.
