HCC Orphanage Nepal

HCC Orphanage - Humanitarian Concern Centre has been the home for 15 kids between 7 and 18 for many years. For them, this is a place of love and hope, where they can study, grow, eat and play in a safe environment, surrounded by the care given both by the family that runs the orphanage and the volunteers that often come here to help.

We decided to pay a bit more (about $20 USD) for a bus that offered extra comfortable seats, air conditioning, meal service (breakfast and buffet lunch), and a hostess that brought us tea and snacks as opposed to more budget options that exist for fraction of that price.

Women Empowerment Women's Stories in Nepal

Volunteers Initiative Nepal has worked with women in rural communities of Okhaldhunga, Kathmandu and Nuwakot district since 2006 focusing on income generation, microcredit, health education and life skills. We have created women's agriculture co-operatives, we have built over 300 toilets, and we have created over 100 women groups reaching over 1000 women. We have taught classes and facilitated discussions on topic such as women's rights, domestic violence, mental health and sex trafficking. Please join us as received empower the women of Nepal.

We can also know the different future plans and steps developed by the government and a tremendous support organizations like CWIN has been providing to improve the conditions of these children.
