Nepal Vision Quest (INTO THE MIND behind the scenes)


Into The Mind is a filmmaking exploration that has lead the Sherpas Cinema and Camp 4 Collective crews all over the globe. However the two companies first collaboration took place in Nepal, in the heart of the Himalayan mountain Range. In a rare opportunity filmmakers Dave Mossop, Renan Ozturk and athlete Rory Bushfield set out on a "Vision Quest" to capture the world's most impressive mountain range, using the latest time lapse and film making technologies. Forced to travel on the tail end of on the monsoon season with rainy weather the team is forced to improvise. Renan introduces Dave and Bushy to a local Sherpa named 'Karma Tsering' a man that allows them to capture the internal world of Nepalese culture and shapes the main vision behind the film.

Joy Lynn Davis is an artist based in Santa Barbara, California and Patan, Nepal.











Joy Lynn Davis is an artist from Santa Barbara, California.  She currently divides her time between Santa Barbara and Patan, Nepal, where she has lived and worked as an artist in residence atKathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre since August 2012. She received her BA in Art from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2002, where she focused on painting and digital art. In addition, she has studied the Tibetan and Nepali languages, Himalayan art history and religions, as well as traditional thangka painting. In 2008 and 2009, she was awarded a Warhol Fellowship at the Santa Fe Art Institute. Her acrylic and gold leaf paintings combine realism with traditional Nepali and Tibetan motifs and styles. Her paintings are the culmination of travels, interviews, photography, and art surveys conducted in Asia over the last eleven years.

Amazing View from Drone over Nepal (Must Watch ) (DJI Phantom 2 + HERO 4)




A quick edit of some aerial drone footage shot over Kathmandu and Annapurna in Nepal.
We did a short trek to Poon Hill which is part of the Annapurna circuit, and I flew the Phantom at Ghandruk and Tadapani villages. Unfortunately my drone had a mishap and I wasn't able to fly it on the second half of our journey. Next time, flying on an actual mountain summit!

The REAL Nepal - Kathmandu



Kathmandu is the capital and largest municipality of Nepal. It is the only city of Nepal with the administrative status of Mahanagar (Metropolitan City), as compared to Upa-Mahanagar (Sub-Metropolitan City) or Nagar (City). Kathmandu is the core of Nepal's largest urban agglomeration located in the Kathmandu Valley consisting of Lalitpur, Kirtipur, Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur and a number of smaller communities. Kathmandu is also known informally as "KTM" or the "tri-city". According to the 2011 census, Kathmandu Metropolitan City has a population of 975,453 and measures 50.67 square kilometres.

We interviewed around 25-30 tourist around few touristy places in kathmandu. A random idea of asking few interesting question to foreigners took a shape of a almost 7 and half minute video.
