The youngster had no idea what was in the package when it arrived at his home town of Banepa in central Nepal. To his amazement it was a shirt which was not only signed by the footballing superstar but also had a personal message: “Jetin be strong, best wishes Christiano Ronaldo.” Determined to hone his skills, Jetin resolutely kept playing football around him as the earth shook and people fled in April.

She got the medal for Bikini Class at the fitness modeling and body building event Miami Pro European Championship on 5th July 2015. She is probably the first Nepali woman, who got the international medal for bodybuilding championship.
Extreme canyoning in Himalaya, Nepal
The story about opening one of the biggest canyon in the world. The Chamjé Khola canyon is located right in the heart of Nepalese Himalaya, between the Annapurnas (8091m) and Manaslu (8163m) mountains. The himalayan canyon Team, a French association, opened there more than 30 canyons since 2004, but they had to wait until 2011 to be ready to face the monster whom is Chamjé Khola.

Its final exploration required 5 days of effort, with a delicate and snowy access at high altitude, for a 7km total length of canyon and 2300m of elevation! Led by Rodolphe Sturm, we can appreciate perfectly how the team prepared the challenge, faced the severe problems they had to confront, and how the alchemy between these strong personalities, left place to an unwavering common energy! Let us learn: Kalita's story in Nepal
Kalita is happiest when she is on the football pitch. When teachers came round each class and asked who was interested in playing football at school, she was the first one to stand up. Her friends laughed because they thought that girls shouldn't play football but Kalita has shown that sport can transform lives. Her studies have improved and her parents say that they will only think of her wedding after she has been educated. In Nepal, many girls do not get the chance to go to school and are married at a young age. For Kalita, education is the main issue in her life, not marriage.

Namche Bazaar is a village and Village Development Committee (Namche) in Solukhumbu District in the Sagarmatha Zone of north-eastern Nepal. It is located within the Khumbu area at 3,440 metres (11,286 ft) at its low point, populating the sides of a hill. Most of Sherpa are in the tourism business, specially from Namche area, Namche is the main trading center and hub for the Khumbu region with many Nepalese officials, a police check, post and a bank. Namche is the most expensive place in Nepal, at least thrice as expensive as the capital city Kathmandu.
The Inspiration of a long-distance runner
It is hard to believe that the first ultra-long distance race 23-year-old Mira Rai took part in was only earlier this year. But in just two months after that Rai had won three international trail races.
Rai participated in the 50km Himalayan Outdoor race in March in harsh weather wearing a cotton T-shirt, sports trousers and just a bottle of water. She was the only female Nepali runner, and was the first in her category to touch the ribbon. Recognising her talent, Trail Running Nepal provided her training and arranged her participation in international races.
